Rumor Alert: Bill Hader in 2012 Ghostbusters movie?!
May 26th, 2009 by Hiram

This is pure speculation, however, over the past few months there has been a lot of talk on who would be in the new GhostBusters movie (slated for a 2012 release). The original players such as Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Harold Ramis, and Ernie Hudson have agreed to reprise their roles and hopefully pass the torch to a newer generation of Ghostbusters. Rumors have been floating around that this new generation could include actors such as Seth Rogen, Steve Carrell, and even our very own Bill Hader.
It has been 20 years since the first two movie installments and while the franchise stayed dormant, it has been given new life with the creation of a Ghostbusters video game (which is set to be released in June 2009). This game has apparently triggered talks on a 3rd Ghostbusters movie.
This is all in the early stages and let me reiterate that Bill Hader as a Ghostbuster is just speculation at this point. But one can only hope to see him added as a member. I look at Hader and automatically think Ghostbusters. What do you think?

Grazie, grazie!

I think Bill Hader might do it. New breed of Ghostbusters. If it happened in the cartoon with the Extreme Ghostbusters. I myself, wouldn’t count it out. I’m a fan of both movies and want to see what happens to the guys after all the time that has passed since the second installment.
Just makes me wonder I guess. Seems like a good idea.
Dude come on, bill is totally PERFECT for this. i absolutly love bill to death and would like to see him in a leading role!! He always plays the scene stealer in the background. So why not just make the movie all about him……
just a thought:)
Leanne,
I wouldn’t count that out either. (About Bill Murray, He had a marathon this past Father’s Day, If I do recall right. I can honestly tell you that he will reprise his role as Peter Venkman as far as I know. If he does do a staring role, I’ll still be happy. He had a staring role in K-9 with a German Sheppard.
I know it was Bill Murray that starred in that movie. I don’t recall the exact year, though I know his name was all over it.
Then again we may have to wait and see in the next 3 years if not less.
