SNL’s debut episode with host Tina Fey grabbed huge ratings, it scored a 6.1 rating/15 share in Nielsen’s 55 metered markets, better than any show on television, or primetime. That’s a great sign for SNL, let’s hope they can keep the momentum for the remaining weeks. Source

There has been a huge buzz concerning Maya Rudolph and her notable absence this past Saturday. In addition, we saw the introduction of a new (but still temporary) cast member Casey Wilson. The story with Rudolph is that she is without a new contract. Lorne Michaels has tried to hammer out a new contract and said he will “keep calling her until she changes her number”. So its safe to say they want her back. Casey Wilson was found at the Upright Citizen’s Brigade and will fill in for Rudolph for the meantime. Blogs have also been buzzing about her with rave reviews; hopefully she will be a permanent fixture whether or not Rudolph decides to return.

great news about the ratings!
And I know I’m keeping my fingers crossed for Casey Wilson. She didn’t get ALOT of screen time, but she still caught my attention!
