The Army's 25th Infantry Division (Tropic Lightning) is located on Oahu, and since the movie is based on it there should be some acknowledgement. The connection is obvious; the 25th ID was one of the units that served in Vietnam, and this movie is about an Army unit called "Tropic Thunder," in Vietnam. Why didn’t they film on Oahu? But I think they may have also gotten them from that guy's set of photos too. I have no clue if he works on the set or was just a casual visitor walking by with a camera. Hopefully I can find some more to post!!
