Wow, How did you get these pictures? Do you know someone on the set? Looks like there are having some nice weather in Hawaii
I actually found the photos through a variety of places, someone named Keith had it up on their Flickr photos and the others I got from The-Frat-Pack.com. But I think they may have also gotten them from that guy’s set of photos too. I have no clue if he works on the set or was just a casual visitor walking by with a camera.
Hopefully I can find some more to post!! Thanks for the comment.
Wow! I actually was on that set when I visted Kauai last summer. The Set was in the Hotel I was staying at.
Why didn’t they film on Oahu? The Army’s 25th Infantry Division (Tropic Lightning) is located on Oahu, and since the movie is based on it there should be some acknowledgement. The connection is obvious; the 25th ID was one of the units that served in Vietnam, and this movie is about an Army unit called “Tropic Thunder,” in Vietnam.
Volt… I have news for you! Are you listening? The hotel it was filmed at is the Kauai Sands and it was not available for rent at the time! You might have been staying close but not at the hotel! You are not fooling me I was there in August and Kauai is my second home so please don’t lie!
